Purpose is why we write. Not to be confused with stance, but they are closely related. Purpose is not just to get a grade from the teacher. We are all in a general agreement of that but, we need to think deeper. This was one of the concepts that I was familiar with since I learned this back in middle school. Not much has changed about this one but rather, the idea of an author’s purpose has expanded into more complex subject matters. I have demonstrated purpose in my assignments and this shows through my writing. For instance, I stated in the blended assignment,


“Judging from the experience I had around that time, that gave a whole new reason as to why my sister was sent to the same school as me.”

The purpose of me writing this assignment was to shed light on an experience that I had when I was younger that changed my entire viewpoint on bullying and why exactly autistic individuals are being targeted in such a manner.
